Make Your Own Miso

It’s your last chance to participate in the East End Food Co-op’s fermentation series with Community Cultures. Sign up to learn how to make miso from different types of legumes on Aug. 7 from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Ticket cost is by donation.

Farm-to-Table Dinner

Join Grow Pittsburgh for a three-course meal from Veggies N’at and Goodlander Brewing cocktails at Ineffable Café on Aug. 13 at 6:30 p.m. Tickets are $60-100, and proceeds help the organization teach people how to grow food in their neighborhoods.

Beer at the Bosque

Pittsburgh Parks Conservancy is teaming up with Eleventh Hour Brewing for a summer series in Schenley Plaza. Listen to music, play lawn games, and try the limited-edition Schenley Park Brew on Aug. 4 and 5 and Sept. 15 and 16. Proceeds benefit Pittsburgh’s parks.

Around the World in 30 Wines

Nine O’Clock Wines and The Salon are hosting a series that takes you on a journey to the world’s most important wine-making countries, all through a sip of a glass. The first class, The Wines of Spain, on Aug. 10 will include tastings of five wines with cheese pairings from Chantal’s Cheese Shop in Bloomfield. Tickets are $65-75.

Driftwood Summer Fest

Next Saturday: Driftwood Oven is hosting a free day of music, food, beer, art, and community at Bay 41 in Lawrenceville from 2 to 7 p.m.
