Embrace Sauna Season

As temperatures drop, Pittsburgh’s sauna scene is heating up! If you’re looking to sweat out the cold, Signal Sauna in Larimer offers a rustic, Scandinavian-inspired outdoor pop-up sauna experience that’s perfect for a chilly day. Bad Sauna is also returning to its winter home at ASCEND in Point Breeze on Nov. 5, offering traditional sauna sessions. For something a little more luxurious, check out Mindfuel Method in the Strip District or The Ripple in Lawrenceville for saunas, hot tubs, and cold plunges.

Cozy Up With Noodle Soup

Is there anything better than a steaming bowl of noodle soup on a chilly day? November is the perfect time to get your fix, whether it’s a comforting bowl of pho from Tram’s Kitchen in Bloomfield or the spicy braised beef noodle soup at Everyday Noodles in Squirrel Hill. While we’re still mourning the closure of Fujiya’s Shadyside location (although we’re hoping they return soon!), you can still get your ramen fix at their Robinson spot.

Catch a Flick at Three Rivers Film Festival

Every November heralds the return of the biggest celebration of cinema in Western PA: Three Rivers Film Festival, which first began in 1982 and runs this year from Nov. 4 to 15. The screening venues always seem to change with the year, and this time around you’ll head to the Harris, the Lindsay, Row House Hollywood, and even Mr. Smalls, where on Nov. 4 you can watch a documentary about … Mr. Smalls! If you're only seeing one film, make it The Gymnast on Nov. 6 — our creative producer Boen Wang is an extra! Be sure to get free tickets via RAD Pass.

Hear From Pittsburgh’s Next Generation

We talk a lot about Pittsburgh’s future, but how often do we hear from the young people who will actually inherit it? On Nov. 10, our host Megan Harris is teaming up with Grapevine Design Collective and The Pittsburgh Foundation for “What is Pittsburgh’s Brand? Challenged by the Future,” a FREE event to bring questions and ideas on topics like safety, belonging, and mental health directly to civic leaders.

We’ll be there! Register for your free ticket here.
