Once a month, we’re helping you show your Pittsburgh pals that you care by sharing things, consumables, and experiences made by locals, for locals. Below are my July picks.

💛 For the Passionate Pittsburghers

Everyone’s favorite local meme maker finally put out merch, and it's hilariously Pittsburgh. Check out the stickers, mugs, t-shirts, and more with designs like “There ain’t no way every person living on that hill is Polish,” and “Bloomfield Beach, always open in my heart.” and “Pittsburgh is not the Midwest or the East Coast, but a secret third thing.”

🍑 For the Summertime Sweeties

It’s pick-your-own season at Triple B Farms in Monongahela, about a 50-minute drive south of Pittsburgh. Take your green-thumb bud to harvest your own blueberries, peaches, black raspberries, and flowers from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., daily. It’s a fun day out and a beautiful bounty to bring home.

🌊 For the Fluviophiles (River Lovers)

So, you’ve been on the Allegheny River during the day, but what about with some moon lighting? Or should I say mood lighting? As the sun goes down, paddle along with Venture Outdoors and feel the evening current. The next night paddle is from 9 to 11 p.m. on July 21, starting at Kayak Pittsburgh in Sharpsburg.

Stay tuned! The team is sharing their recommendations on the City Cast Pittsburgh podcast later this week.
