Best Thanksgiving Dinner Takeout, Plus New Restaurant Openings


Whether you need some extra sides, pie, or the whole Thanksgiving feast, here is a cornucopia of takeout options in Pittsburgh:

Get a taste of pumpkin loaf, maple pumpkin pie, deep-dish apple pie, or bourbon pecan pie before the shop opens in Garfield next month. Put in your order by Nov. 16 for pick up on Nov. 18 at the Bloomfield Market or Nov. 22 at 5349 Penn Ave.

Brown Bear Bread Cafe

The new cafe in Mt. Oliver is providing the best bread to break at your table, like pumpkin sourdough and pumpkin focaccia. Plus, sweets like pumpkin pie with honey granola crust! Email by Nov. 17 and pick up on Nov. 22.

Full Thanksgiving Feast

Farmer x Baker

Get dinner for two including herb-roasted turkey, mashed potatoes, roasted roots and mushroom stuffing, Brussels and beans with confit garlic and balsamic, cranberry sauce, and knot rolls with whipped maple butter. It’s $95; order online to pick up on Nov. 22 in Sharpsburg. They have pies too!


The Bloomfield restaurant’s $100 Thanksgiving to-go package feeds two to three people with a brined and roasted turkey, gravy, mac and cheese, roasted Brussels sprouts, and whipped sweet potatoes. Check out their a la carte sides, desserts, and wine pairings too. Order for pickup on Oct. 22.

Carmi Soul Food

If you’re feeding a crowd, this South Side biz has you covered with a feast that serves 12-15 for $450. Just pop in their oven-ready turkey with sides like baked mac and cheese, southern cornbread stuffing, mixed greens, green beans, and candied yams. Plus, two sweet potato pies! Order by Nov. 18 for pickup on Nov. 22.

Turkey-less Turkey Day


For plant-based eaters, Thanksgiving is all about the sides. Zenith’s “No Turkey Vegan Holiday Rescue Kit” has seitan, stuffing, mashed potatoes with gravy, green beans, cranberry sauce, pumpkin yam soup, and pumpkin spice cake for $20.
