Host Morgan Moody is adjusting her gears and facing her fears today with a pedaling lesson from a pro, Black Girls Do Bike founder Monica Garrison. The group started as a local effort to build a community of women of color who love to bike, and it’s grown to have over 100 chapters worldwide.

This weekend, the international collective is expecting hundreds of members from the U.S. and abroad to meet in Pittsburgh for PedalPGH, Pennsylvania’s biggest bicycling race with 10-, 25-, 40-, or 62-mile treks starting at 7 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 28 at Southside Riverfront Park.

You can pre-game with Monica and her crew Friday with a $20 luncheon and pool party at the Sherwood Event Center where there will be giveaways, entertainment, and more. Find more at blackgirlsdobike.org
