City Council Considers Tax on Skill Games

As Pittsburgh looks for new revenue sources to address its budget deficit, Councilor Anthony Coghill proposed a new tax on skill games and other "mechanical amusements," such as claw machines and jukeboxes. The bill would require businesses to pay a license fee, and Coghill estimates it could bring in $2 to $3 million annually.
