🧥 Coats for Care

Drop off your essential winter wear to True T Pittsburgh in Bloomfield for its annual give-back event in partnership with Color Me Urban and Urban League Young Professionals of Pittsburgh. Gently used coats collected through November will be distributed to those in need in the LGBTQIA+ community.

🏆 YWCA Equity Awards

Honor women, especially women of color, whose work reflects the YWCA’s intersectional approach to addressing race and gender equity on Nov. 3 at the Omni William Penn Hotel. Tickets are $75.

💛 Trauma Processing Group

Pittsburgh Action Against Rape is holding its trauma processing group every Thursday, 5:30-7 p.m. Participants can share with those who have experienced similar trauma. The group is inclusive of any gender identification and expression over the age of 18. Contact (412) 431-5665 ext 1122 to request an intake form.

🛠️ How To Get Home Repairs

Allegheny County homeowners who earn less than 80% of the area’s median income can apply for up to $50,000 of home repair assistance through Action Housing. The deadline to apply is Nov. 17.

🇺🇸 15 Years of the Veterans Breakfast Club

Celebrate the club’s anniversary on Nov. 8 with free breakfast, raffle baskets, and informational materials for veterans and their families. Plus, hear the in-person stories of Vietnam vet and Steelers legend Rocky Bleier; WWII P-47 pilot Edwin Cottrell; and WWII Navy WAVE codebreaker Julia Parsons.
